I was sent a B&W satellite image of the stricken Concordia in 2012 by a designer called Mark, an old friend, who shares an interest in imagery of all sorts. Because the image was in B&W, it made it all the more difficult to ascertain what was actually happening – was the boat in fact a toy on a string floating in clouds? Stunning dreamy image playing on scale and our bearings, an image, I’m still trying to figure out where to go with.
